Space Marines

Space Marines, or Adeptus Astartes, stand as Humanity's premier defenders, serving as the mightiest of the Emperor of Mankind's warriors. Not quite Human, they are superhuman - enhanced in all faculties by a grueling program of genetic modification, psychological conditioning, and strenuous training.

Space Marines are resilient to any mortal ailment and can withstand wounds that would be fatal to others, while still continuing to fight on. Wearing ancient, powerful armor and holding weapons of immense might, they inspire fear in all who witness them. Unwavering in their loyalty to the Emperor and the Imperium, they are the God-Emperor's Angels of Death, whom none can resist.
